Important Notes

Depending on the equipment of your bike, you will need the following additional parts for a modification:

• A chain tensioner with an appropriate adjustment range. We recommend the SBO Chain Tensioner, available in our Shop. Using simple chain tensioners that only have one sprocket, it can happen that the chain on the drive sprocket skips!
• We recommend using a reinforced e-bike chain to achieve a longer service life of the primary gear ratio.
• When using a belt, the belt line must be checked and adjusted on the crank/spider if necessary. A straight chain line is also advantageous for chains.
• A short handle is required on the right-hand side of the handlebar next to the HUB1 grip shift.
• For the speed sensor, we recommend using a spoke magnet.

The recommended speed in 5th gear should be 25 km/h with a comfortable pedaling cadence. You can find the corresponding primary translation with the Ratio Calculator .
